We were warmly welcomed by relatives, and James quickly found his best friend Patrick. Later in the afternoon visited the local cemetery, where some of our ancesters are burried, and went exploring the ruins of a house where our great great grandmother was born and raised.
Thomas had great fun trekking through the long grass.
Ireland is very green, which is understandable since Carrickmacross has had constant rain since June. It seems we brought Australian weather with us though - we haven't seen any rain in Ireland so far, and the forecast for the next few days is Sunny!
Finally, we went out to tea at the Shirley Arms hotel.

So you took a fast plane to Dublin... do you have a sub laid on to take you to South America?! ha ha ha. Thomas is SO cute...didn't know you were Irish. Nice.
So you've made it to Ireland - it all looks very nice and green - so much different to dry old Brisbane. How are you coping with all the local accents you've encountered?
Ireland is very nice, and (green) unlike toowoomba... "I'm not playjerising comments". I wonder if thomas if searching for leprechauns in that long grass? Well I suppose they would be hard to see :). Anyway, it's good to see that you are all doing well and having a good time. Also your guinea pig "fluffy" had a baby today, it's black, white and orange. goodbye for now. Me, myself and everyone else. "the Mcgoverns." P.S Justin is in Dublin.
Dear Elyse
We are not going to south Amerca sorry. (We all know what happened to him)
Yes, Thomas loved the grass. He wanted to take it all home for the guinea pigs! By the end of the walk he had a nice big armful picked.
Hope to see you soon,
Will bring the goon show (and the goon show, and the goon show, and the goon show)
God Bless
Nancy
